Welcome to my blog!

I have contemplated starting a blog for quite some time now, and recently decided to take the plunge and finally begin writing one of my own.  I enjoy reading, baking, photography, thrift shopping, camping, traveling, and many other things.  I want this blog to be a place where I can share a little bit of all the things I enjoy and hope that what I share here will serve as a source of inspiration and encouragement for others. 

To start, I will mention that I am a bit of a "quote collector".  I have a little hand-made, leather journal that I purchased years ago while studying abroad in Italy. 

This is where I like to jot down quotes and sayings that I enjoy. Some are humorous, some are serious, but they are all things that "speak" to me personally.  One particular saying that has been a source of encouragement for me lately is this:
